Mrs. Ava Marie Spoleti
Welcome back! My name is Ava Marie Spoleti-Santangelo and I will be your child’s teacher this school year. This is my twelfth year teaching at Ridgefield Public schools. Welcome to Preschool!! The past five years I have taught grades 1-3 Autistic and Multiply Disabled classrooms. I taught preschool Autistic for four years and this is my 3nd year in PSD. In 2014 I was a 6Th grade ICS teacher at Slocum Skewes. The year before I was a second grade teacher at Our Lady of Grace. I have been a gifted and talented teacher in Ho-Ho-Kus for the past from 2009-2016. I graduated from Saint Thomas Aquinas College with my Bachelors in English in 2007. I continued my education at Saint Peter’s University and received my Masters in Education. I hold additional college credits earning a master’s degree in special education as well as additional certification masters in preschool and childhood development. I am also certified in Orton Gillinghan’s multisensory approaches to reading, touch math, and PECS non verbal communication. I currently hold a dual teaching certification in both regular and special education from P-6.
