Ms Wilenta

My name is Ms. Veronica Wilenta and this is my eighth year teaching in the Ridgefield School District in the Learning Center. I have taught the four previous years at Bergen Blvd and this is my fourth year at Shaler Academy. Prior to Ridgefield, I taught 3 years in a Self-Contained, Autistic Support Classroom in Toms River, NJ. In May of 2013, I graduated from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA with a  Masters in Special Education in May of 2014. I have also obtained my Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through FIT in October 2020 as well as a licensed BCBA in New Jersey.

I believe that the goal of education is to help shape an individual’s life and future by laying the groundwork. I believe each child, as an individual, has the potential to rise and succeed in their education. I will be attentive to all of my students’ needs and demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their education using a Universal Design of Learning through hands-on learning, multi-sensory activities, and interactive lessons.  Each student has their own learning styles and I will be flexible in providing for their various styles. Learning is a lifelong process and with each new experience more knowledge is gained.
