Welcome to ESL

Hello, my name is Mrs. Im and I teach English as a Second Language at Shaler. I have taught ESL to primary grade children in Manhattan and New Jersey and this is my twelfth year teaching. I majored in English at Boston College and earned my master's from New York University.

 

My favorite thing about teaching Kindergarten ESL is seeing children read for the first time! Their eyes light up when something clicks and they start putting things together. I like to travel, drink matcha lattes, play board games and Tetris with family and friends.
