Ms. Mollie: Speech Therapy
My name is Ms. Mollie and I am one of the SLPs (speech language pathologists) at Shaler Academy. This is my 4th year working in Ridgefield and my 6th year as a speech therapist. I received my undergraduate degree from Penn State University (We Are!) and my Master's Degree from Seton Hall University. Prior to working in a school, I was a full-time clinician at Kessler Rehab where I worked on the brain injury and neuro unit. I have experience working with individuals across their lifetime on speech, language, swallowing, feeding, oral motor, articulation, and AAC skills. My favorite part about being an SLP is watching my students grow and develop their language skills to communicate their needs. I describe myself as a "high energy" therapist and enjoy creating fun opportunities to target speech goals during my sessions (e.g., scavenger hunts, dance parties etc). I am so excited to continue to work my students on achieving their goals. It is going to be a great year!
