Mrs. Michelle Novick
My name is Michelle Novick, and I am a kindergarten teacher at Shaler Academy. I have been teaching for 14 years and have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade inclusion and general education classes.
My undergraduate and master's degrees are both from Montclair State University. For my BA, I majored in Family and Child Studies with a concentration in Kindergarten through 5th grade, and for my masters, I majored in being a teacher of students with disabilities.
In my classroom, I want all students to feel safe, loved, and joyful about learning. I want my classroom to be a place that children develop friendships, as well as feel confident as they learn new skills in all academic subjects.
Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I especially love to do activities with my daughter, such as going to the zoo or doing gymnastics.
