Welcome to the behaviorist's page! Your children call me Ms. Liz. You can find me popping into classrooms, and walking through the halls, working closely with our dedicated teachers to help your children learn to their full potential! I provide support to our teachers, teacher assistants and students for behavior reduction with a goal to ensure our students are able to participate in class happily and safely. Additionally, I assist with assessment for our learning center classes, choosing appropriate IEP goals, and creating and modifying programs and teaching methods for our ABA classes, when necessary. You can find me outside in the parking lot everyday calling names on the microphone at dismissal! Come say "Hi!"

After graduating Dominican College in 2010 with a B.A in Psychology, and Montclair State University in 2014 with a M.A in Mental Health Counseling, I decided to move to Tucson, Arizona to get a fresh start on life. It was in Tucson that I discovered Applied Behavior Analysis and all of the wonderful things it can do. Life brought me back to New Jersey, and I graduated in 2015 from Florida Institute of Technology's BCBA certification program and obtained my BCBA certificate shortly after. Prior to working in schools, I worked for a private ABA company as a BCBA consultant for several years. This will be my fourth school year at Shaler Academy. I have a passion for helping students learn and watching them grow and become independent. I am heavily trained in SBT for severe problem behavior and take an innovative approach to behavior reduction. I hope to have the opportunity to work with this population that I love so much for many, many years to come.
When I'm not at work, you can find me cheering on my three girls at their various activities and spending time with my family. When there's downtime you can find me reading a book, or listening to music.
